Biography

Taking from existing imagery and incorporating it into a personal visual language, I take found images and insert them into my vocabulary. My process requires I act as a visual hunter-gatherer, seeking images from luxury culture to collect, re-appropriate, and reuse the imagery I find beautiful. I take from existing images and objects, utilizing the language of femininity, sexuality, and collage to participate in the processes of postproduction art making. “French critic Nicholas Bourriaud has suggested, the contemporary age of art and ideas is heavily informed by “postproduction” methods of recycling, mashing, borrowing, mixing, and appropriation.”
