Biography
CoBi lives and works in Apulia. She got high school leaving qualification at Art College in Bari and graduated at Udine Faculty of Literature and Philosophy. She works on figurative arts mostly on painting and illustration and she teaches History of Art at High School.
She has carried out decorative series and restaurations in historic residences and paintings trying her hand at pastel, oil, watercolour and acrylic technique. Her main subjects are based on classical myth developed through an interpretation that combines Pop art irony and simplification with a dense baroque performance. As an illustrator she has worked on behalf of the scientific museums of Bari University and Camuno Center for Prehistoric Studies dealing with scientific didattics, museology and graphic survey of archeological areas; she has planned and carried out various promo images and illustrations for trade-fairs, conventions, cds, awareness campaigns and young publishing.
Among her latest works we mention her contribution to the cd-book “Per fortuna c’è il Cavaliere” by Fausto Amodei along with Altan, Staino and Mattotti (Nota-editing), the imagine for the national school competition “Un pinguino fra noi” sponsored by Ministry of Education and the production of prosceniums, backcloths and heads of marionettes for Corato Children Theatre. She is interested in sculpture and makes earthenware, maiolica and papier maché works. She has published comic strips and cartoons.
