Biography

"The photograph, to me, is a completed artwork.
It is not enough watching, to know seeing. It is not enough snapping.
To finish the photograph, printing is necessary.
With respect about tones and contasts. Choosing the support with surface and dimension which can give the right readability and texture to the image. And close the circle.

Then, also the photograph as completed artwork can be a multisensory opera, able to involve senses and vision."

BIO

I am craftswoman, photographer and fine art maker.

I live and work in Ferrara (Italy). studioblu is my workroom.
There I print each my own photograph personally.
It’s the place where I see, build, tell stories by images.

I have begun and gone into so many inquiries, often linked to human body and its relationship with natural elements.
Portrait is one of my most important subjects. Actually, I received QIP (Qualified Italian Photographer, 2004) just about this cathegory.

About chemical printing, I prefer brushing treatment, which I learnt by Cesare Bossi. Realised in dark room, using black and white, this particular technique is special to me: it assure a better image zone control and has a low environmental impact, thanks to the small quantity of chemical products it needs.

Quite recently I am been interested in inkjet printing too. This gives me the opportunity to print also colour photographs on fiber-based paper. This inquiry allows me to recreate the same quality and sensations typical of chemical printing.

Thanks to my artistic development, I could compete for Fine Art Contest 2010, the prize called from FIOF (Fondo Internazionale Orvieto Fotografia - International Found Orvieto Photography). I won the 1st prize in research cathegory with dei passi della terra" ["about earth’s steps"] and then the same artwork could take part to FIOF prize presented during Photoshow, Roma 2010, gaining the qualification of Best printing Digigraphie 2010.
