Biography
New media artist and contemporary performance director, Choy Ka Fai has created numerous multi-disciplinary projects and international collaborations that situates his work at the intersections of Visual Arts, Music, Film, Dance and Theatre.
Central to his creative process are the ideas of constructing spaces of interactions as means of creating possibilities for dialogue. Apart from his research in the conceptual characteristics of the contemporary performance, his body of work reflects on human conditions at the edges of life, art, design and technology; its relevance and adaptations to our modern world.
Ka Fai was the Associated Artistic Director of Singapore premier Theatre Company – TheatreWorks from 2007-2009. He is also the Co-Artistic director of Singapore's most off-beat artist collective- Kill Your Television (KYTV) and his works have toured to major arts institutions and festivals worldwide, including Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt Berlin, 3rd Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial and the Edinburgh International Festival.
