Biography
Growing up in an environment where I lacked a voice led me to continuously struggle with the containment of my thoughts. I have manifested this struggle through the break down of layers, interlacements and bindings.
My current work explores physical restrainment through wearable sculpture. Through the process of wrapping and weaving I immobilize the wearer in heavy, burdensome metal to illustrate the containment of thoughts and feelings, and to represent resistance against impeding forms.
