Biography

• Gifted with a strong creative spirit, attracted to the visual arts through photography and, above all, painting, Annamaria discovers the pleasure of expressing her state of mind, body and soul – her deepest emotions, dreams, desires and displeasures, which she projects through brushstrokes onto canvas. In this way, painting becomes the purest expression of her soul. "When I paint, my canvas becomes the "silent" depository of my sentiments, and every painting, for me, is the 'son of my emotions'.
My painting is emotional, instinctive, sanguine, immediate, born always of the urgent need to give life to my deepest emotions"

Her creativity is expressed through colour: brustrokes of hot hues, bright and intense; mixed and adorned with sand, stones, rope, which the artist uses with the precise intention of giving form, shape and meaning to her own private emotions.

Self-taught abstract painter, Anna Maria doesn't always name her paintings, preferring to leave their observer 'free' to interpret the work and eventually identify with it, attracted by a symphony of colour or by a movement of lines which, vibrating, touch the heartstrings. Anna Maria currently lives in Italy, where she works as a kindergarten teacher. She also teaches piano and runs painting workshops for children. She participates in personal and collective painting exhibitions.
