Biography
The official debut in painting comes up in 2000/2001 at the end of a long-term traveling around Europe and Asia (Paris, London, Leeds and Kuala Lumpur).
Self-taught artist, I’ve never gone into more depth concerning what I have always accepted as a compulsion, a natural affinity for color and whatever thing gives rise to small, big emotions.
Color was, at the beginning, the only remedy to quieten a sort of long lasting “ malaise “. Paint to balance the sense of discomfort was a common dynamic that only the combination of certain colors was able to achieve.
I consider art as a subjective form of expression arduously enclosed within bounds, intellectual schemes, hyperbolic twisting and empty words, Art is essentially an emotional release to the artist, and on the observers side a strong feeling of emotion and/or reaction.
When analyzing artistic creations, we somehow always end up reflecting our own personal thoughts and feelings. What we may get individually from a work of art is not likely to be what the artist originally envisioned, but it will give us some form of our own inner satisfaction. The great thing about art is that it is open for interpretation.
Art is art, when it can successfully get an individual emotionally intrigued, when it becomes a deep exchange value.
