Biography
Gorm Spaabæk holds a M.A. from the Royal School of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a professional artist, curator, art consultant, writer and book reviewer. Gorm Spaabæk works with painting, graphics, drawing, photographs, video, installations and sculpture. From 2016 onwards he is the director of Skagen Kunsthal, an artist led exhibition centre. His publications include books, magazine articles and a large number of reviews of art-books for the Danish newspaper Nordjyske Stiftstidende. His track record includes a number of solo exhibitions and participation in a significant number of group exhibitions. Furthermore, he is an experienced curator with an extensive track record. Gorm Spaabæk is likewise an active voice in the Danish public debate about artistic issues.
Member of various artistic groups: The Vraa Exhibition Association, the Danish Artists Association, the Association of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the Association of Danish Printmaking Artists, and the Print Workshop in Hjørring.
