Biography
Federica Scaletta is a 360° passionate artist, ranging between painting and photography, she has dedicated herself to contemporary art, exhibiting in various group exhibitions worldwide.
After an artistic stop that lasted a few years, she transformed her passion into a real activity.
In her laboratory in Arquata Scrivia, on the border between Liguria and Piedmont, Federica decides to give vent to her strong passion for interior design, mixing her pictorial techniques with interior decorative techniques and has been dedicating herself for a few years to the production of a new decorative style, with an eclectic and personal soul. She prefers recovery, often creates her works on antique or vintage furniture, we can therefore define her as a green artist!
She says of herself: “I have a strong passion for ancient architecture. The crumbling walls and plaster, the patinas that the passage of time leaves on objects have a particular charm for me, a story to tell, so much so that I wanted to recreate them myself.
The canvas as a work support was not enough, so I found it natural to move on to a surface that combined the love for interior furnishings and that for art and design, I found it in period furniture".
