Biography
My name is Loredana Mortellaro am an artist who lives and works in Palermo, for years I have been interested in art, in his spare time and whenever I get the chance I enjoy painting and creating new works. I paint because I feel the need, it is almost vital for me, I feel the need to see beyond the colors that I have inside me and express my feelings.
My works are installations consisting of various pieces of aggregate in order to obtain a geometric composition of this composition, paint a picture broken. All this because I like to think of a painting whose margins are fragmented and varied, in which the space that contains it is part and in which even the painting is part of the space, as if they were eternally embedded, as an inlay.
I like to think of a painting that is mobile and dynamic in space, whose parts can be moved by a single breath of wind, whose pieces can cause a sound caused by rubbing them. A painting that can live not only in a two-dimensional space of a wall, but it can be suspended in the center of a three-dimensional environment ... be it urban or indoor environment.
