Biography

Parallel Abstractionisms is a couple of artists photographers created in 2009 by Carlo D'Orta (Firenze, Italy, 1955) and Danilo Susi (Termoli, Italy, 1949).
Parallel abstractionisms is a journey into the inner soul which can be achieved through a process of abstraction. Thus, it is not aimed at documenting the real world. Paradoxically, this journey has been made possible by producing abstract images through photography, the most realistic and documentary medium. Reflecting surface is the transition medium between the two dimensions. Reflecting surfaces of the buildings for D'Orta, urban artist; reflecting surfaces of the water for Susi, sea artist.
