Biography

My work is born and developed by the necessity to give substance through images of an interior life produced by the experience of being in the world.
Painting for me is a natural means to give substance to the creation of images.
my innate inclination towards first drawing and then painting, has led me to develop this medium for the production of images.
Among the many characteristics of painting, the reinvention of reality through memory is particularly congenial to me : this process permits the images to pass through a process of emotional sedimentation in a private place which I have access to only through the act of painting.
In this way, painting for me is an act of recuperation ,of discovery, where I seek an image that has accumulated a sufficient emotional weight through the sedimentation of internal time.
The unconscious incrustations that remain attached to the image are those which I seek, these give the image the energy that I could not create rationally and which I feel are necessary to represent being in the world.
