Biography

Body-artist, performer and painter, academician of Fine Arts School of Rome.
Sylvia Di Ianni has started her creative itinerary looking into the dreamlike imaginary in its different aspects, crossing from figurative to performative and extreme body art.

In 2009 she organized the Italian first bodyperformance art festival "MutAzioni Profane" at Teatro dell'Orologio in Rome with the artists Kyrham and Julius Kaiser.

She has taken part in many events of contemporary and body art and happenings such as "Female Extreme Body Art" 2010-11, "Dr Schetchy's anti Art School", "7th Napoli Tatoo Expo 2010", "Verso il Diverso", "Specchio delle Mie Trame" (with Mauro Petrarca and Francesca Fini), Rome CLAC center of contemporary arts opening and the "Performing Art Festival 2011" in Nocciano/Pescara/Chieti.
She is also the author and director of the performative setup of the show "SS", written and directed by Mariaelena Masetti Zannini.

Currently Sylvia Di Ianni's concern is investigating contemporary childhood and feminine psychological features.
