Biography
Giuseppe Rossi was born in Rome in 1958. He held his first solo show in 1978, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Viterbo and studied the most important artists.
In 2010 he founded "Dendronaturalismo" dipicting inside his works age-old trunks of chestnut and olive trees that create forms that are much more than they appear, imagination flies between the black colours of the holes and amidst the maze of lines that run throughout his works. The warm, cool colours give conflicting impressions….. it is Yin and Yang.
Giuseppe Rossi has held Exhibits in: Rome, Turin, Forlì, Florence, Bologna, Padua, Arezzo, Spoleto, Carrara, Viterbo, Arco di Trento, Marina di Pietrasanta, Durres (Albania) and Miami (USA). He was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the International Biennial of Florence in 2011, premiered at the Spoleto Festival, the biennial of Durres in Albania, along with the critical Spoleto Giammarco Props, Triennale di Roma with Achille Bonito Oliva, Affordable Art Faire at MACRO in Rome, Museum of Villa Vecchia , Villa Doria Pamphili, Rome, and is part of the EUART - Spectrum Art Basel Miami USA, participating in the International Biennial of Rome. And his works are presented in the catalogues of “Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori
