Biography

Biography
I was born in 1975 and live in Macerata, Italy.
I began my interest in photography at sixteen years old using my father's Fujica 35mm and obtaining my first results on black and white film. Whilst experimenting with film in 2001, I decided to buy a Holga; a toy camera with a plastic body and lens and using a 120 format film. The b/w and squared format film images revealed an analytical character of anxiety, restlessness and emotions that I didn't want to leave unnoticed.
Satisfied with the emotional experiences of the chemical process used in b/w developing, I didn't venture into colour photography until 2005. Also it was my introduction to my first digital reflex camera.
The speed of how I obtained my results and final images realised a fascination for me and I began searching for a similar process to employ without the chemical process i.e. cross processing.
Subsequent, digitally, the photographs became contaminated with strong contrasts and my visions returned through acid colours.
A new kind of observation appeared when I tapped into my passion for design; of the traces and trails that creative man wants to leave behind today for tomorrow. The lines of architecture and design; those which are held in the places and objects that exist in our every day lives. I found they generated visions of abstract figures contained within and around perfect graphics.
During the last few years I have had the occasion to travel and visit some important exhibitions and galleries. They too have now fed into the container of information and visions that now constitute my way of expression and have completed my self-taught development and formation.
My photography is now a necessity in order to live and understand the world in which I live in today. It allows me to constantly search and observe.
My on-going studies concerning the human figure and it's possibilities of re-location.
