Biography
I am a photographer.
I have worked as such both commercially and as an artist since the 1970s.
Currently, my work explores the impermanence of photographs both as physical objects and conveyors of meaning. How, rather than than freezing things in time, they reveal the fragility of memory.
I work with photographs that I have taken myself and with images from the last two centuries.
I am fascinated by the similarities between the coded electrical charges within micro chips, which form digital images, and those within our brains from which we construct thoughts and memories.
