Brief biography

Kulpherk Emwan, of Thai origin comes from a family of artists her grandfather a sculptor and father a painter. In Thailand she spends her first 5 years then arrives in Italy, Tuscany, Marina di Massa and Massa where she still lives today. She attends High School then becomes master and teacher of art. At Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara she graduates in Multimedia and as Graphic Design Specialist. She begins her art activity making videos and commercials. In her works there is a need of deep research expressing in building material works, using sand, glass, stones and grit. Among the various exhibitions, displays Biennale of Fine Arts with Installation "Itinere" 2002; she receives "Friends Award" for collaboration site Accademia Belle Arti di Carrara 2003; exhibitions at Castel Piagnaro Pontremoli, at Nicola and several Marguttiana; from 8 /03/2006 to 17/03/2006 at 'APT Marina di Massa. Malaspinarte 2008 Castello Malaspina Collective Church of Suffrage May 2009, June 2010 Exhibition at the "farmstead" Marguttiana Tonfano July August 2009/2010; August 2010 International Painting Symposium in Nowy Sacz Poland (26 artists from all Europe) Symposium in August 2010 in La Spezia with the CIV (Via del Torretto) September 2010 Rooms of the '400 Pontremoli Collective with Scantamburlo, Framarin, Arfanotti, etc.. She is member of various associations including Asart, The Artists of the Village, The Light, The Artists of Follo. And is present in several sites dedicated to art. Her way of expressing leads her to shape objects and sculptures in terra cotta, wood carvings and lost wax silver jewelry where you can find a rare synthesis between East and West.
