Biography
Reporting system is an interdisciplinary association for contemporary art that promotes creative processes in public spaces. Founded in 2004 by Gennaro Castellano, artist and project manager, and Antonella Annecchiarico, a public administrator, it has worked since 1999 under the name of Progettozingonia.
Reporting System is a synergistic network that calls upon the skills of artists, intellectuals,
cultural institutions and public officials, with the goal of creating a convergence of views and intentions regarding issues that have an impact on society and the region, with particular attention to intercultural dynamics. Reporting System’s work is characterized by an osmosis between art and society, where art becomes a process that articulates new interpretations and visions of problems related to contemporary life. R.S. collaborates with institutions, as in the case of the project Voyages croisés (2003-2005), carried out in partnership with Huit Facettes Interation (Dakar), which was invited to the 2006 Seville
Biennial. Awarded the Minimum Prize 2003 by Cittàdellarte- Pistoletto Foundation during the exhibition “Public Art: the space of relationships”, cured by Anna Detheridge.
Reporting System is currently working on Milanofficine, an important project about ongoing transformations in the city of Milan, promoted by Fondazione Cariplo.
