Biography
Anna Talens’ work, whether we consider her installations, her photographs or her objects – is based on the constant dichotomy between the manual and emotional processes. Accumulation, repetition, rhythm, colours and textures are her way of digging into human personalities and into nature.
This dichotomy is prevailing also in the choice of the materials: natural and soft, like feathers and petals, combined with edgy glass and light metals; vivid colours and ethereal transparency. Anna’s strong academic background gave her not only an exceptional confidence in the use of those materials, as mediums to communicate fragility and poetry, but also the ability to deeply observe the reality in order to create something extraordinary out of the ordinary. We could define the final result of her artistic creation as a magical object of estrangement.
