Biography
Pierluigi Mattiuzzi was born in Domodossola, northern Italy, on November 15, 1943. He spent his childhood in Malles, Val Venosta and the youth in Merano, where he got the maturity in classical studies. In 1970 he got a degree in sociology studied at the University of Trento, he began his artistic search and at the same time he worked as a sociologist. From 1980 after a short stay in India and a trip in the USA, he lived in Sicily and Tuscany. In 1986 he returned to Merano where he is still living and painting.
