Lorenzo Villa describes dreams, and does so by combining different semiotic levels, placing the characters in a modern setting yet undefined and dream. Are children and girls walking and dancing in the streets of the urban periphery, loads of grace and of the weight of ideas. The thoughts are translated into paths messages quickly on a new rough surface, which is useful to express the urgency of emotions. In this world of plots, there is no room for conceptual considerations: just a single word, a slogan to convey the essential meaning do what stirs the company. Gaze lingers on a frame that blocks a photographic moment, capturing all the dynamism of action, but the path of the individuals goes to other views, this time internal. We find ourselves well to contemplate a bare valley, (the exact opposite of the teeming city), where only a stylized tree and nervous, becomes both shelter and psychological uncertainty concretization, as if the electric flow of neuronal activity was manifested in a forest of fast sections and explosives, closer to the language of the comic strip. The dogs, a girl, a man ... the protagonists are still in front of the horizon, as if waiting for Godot and their minds open to the future and closes in a totally private reflection. In any case remains a slight spiritual aura that modulates the declination of desires and a hermetic beauty, borders on mystical transcendence of a world lost in the distance or in the stands jokingly shapes cut out in nature. The use of a few balanced colors, which stand out on the black and white tones, highlights the dual displacement (real and metaphorical), and the steady return of some key elements: removal is a job that seems to want to give body and movement to those images that come from the bottom of conscience and s'imprimo on the retina. The use of innovative materials gives the viewer the impression of being able to touch the magic of smooth and modern plates that can be put in sequence to reconstruct a code that combines the attention to detail and a drift perceptive figurative abstract.

(*) Painted on transparent plexiglass plates, machined on both sides.
On the back, with the layering of glazes, to get the bottom of the painting, (words, trees, lines or spots in a simple abstract-informal context), that in the end only be visible by observing the front.
The characters and objects that complete the pictorial message, however, are acrylic paintings on the front, thus creating a sort of more or less evident three-dimensional effect. The whole is given by the gap that is created between the bottom and foreground elements, thanks to the thickness of the slab, which can vary from 1 to 5 mm.
