Biography
Fabio Giampietro was born in 1974 in Milan where he still living and working.
He graduated at the Fine Arts Academy, specializing in painting.
ARTIST AND HIS WORK
Fabio Giampietro’s painted landscapes look like they are in filming frames and comic images, and however far away they are viewed, appear real to the eye.
The artist is able to bring the spectator inside the canvas, in a post-atomic town that reminds us of Batman’s metropolitan Gotham City.
This fantastic inspiration creates suggestions that are very real and enveloping, where buildings are, there is canvas and landscapes where man disappeared.
Fabio Giampietro’s vertigos are metaphor for the discomfort of living, suspension between the desire to let himself fall, between rationality and impulse, convention and wander.
