Biography

Through photography I appropriate a storehouse of images from brief encounters. However, I often find that relying faithfully upon a predictability found in “the pure photographic process” detracts visually and conceptually from an essence that I am seeking to explore. A gateway to the photographic expression of the impoverished nature of human frailty in the face of anonymity can become tarred with superfluous photographic detail. Taking away things that may not be part of a planned vision by sculpting the image and gifting to it an atmospheric relevance is my current concern.
