Biography
I was born in La Spezia on March 25th, 1966 and have lived in Rome since I was six months.
I was a student at a local Liceo specializing in scientific studies and then got a degree in Architecture with a specialization in restoration. Since I was a little girl I've always enjoyed to draw and paint. At school I used my pen to make sketches on whatever surface I could find at hand: on my diary, books, exercise books, desk... At night, shut up in my bedroom, I used to paint on canvas and walls. Twisted, deformed figures looking for identity: being a woman. But the woman is not always able to come out, she is being choked, crushed, threatened by something. Later on I got a passion for Dalì and his outstanding work. Deeply impressed by his writings and pictures, I started copying some of his paintings. Copying Dalì's paintings is currently for me passion, pleasure, never ending emotion. At the same time I started to grow a passion for Gustav Klimt's paintings. I have always deeply admired how natural the female body looks in his paintings, plunged as it is in athmospheres of enigmatic feelings that are often forbidden and secret.
I love painting emotions and torments of the soul in the form of scenarios dream at times incomprehensible sometimes too eloquent. My paintings are fragments of mood that sometimes seem to scream suffering and pain, sometimes passions, desires and dreams ....
My passion for Salvador Dalì and Gustav Klimt has been a strong influence on my artistic growth. Atmospheres, colors and shapes that recall the work of these two great painters are often found in my paintings.
