Biography
Richard Carr (b. 1987, Dublin, Ireland) is a sound maker currently living and working in Ireland. His work fuses sound, installation and 'picture making' into indivisible wholes. Richard’s work redeems the specificity of individual sound pieces by exploring their physical & emotional traces as 2d and 3d ‘thingings’. Dealing with the fragile materiality of sound he challenges himself & the ‘viewer’ to engage in an act of prolonged and generative listening, while also exploring the nexus of self-hood, the participatory, object making and the 'white cube'.
