Biography
Lives and work in Turin. She attended the High Scool of Art and the Fine Arts Academy and she began her artistic curriculum in figurative painting. While investigating color and matter, at the end of the 80’s she combined in her work plasticity and painting, trought the use of mixed media that matched subjects and materials, creating a sort of symbiosis between them.From 1993 her research extended to the “Artist Book”, where canvas, wood and paper become the ideal supports to create an object which contains the pictorial matter including sensations, studies and thoughts. The themes of this research are Nature and Mythology. Mariella Bogliacino exposes in personal and group shows in Italy and abroad.
