Biography
We Believe in Art.
We believe art has the power to transform lives and shape cultures. Art is a universal language that allows us to explore our individuality and our common ground. We believe in creativity. Every person has unlimited creative potential.
Mission:
The Mystery Build challenge was created by two artists as a way to inspire creative thinking. Our objective is to encourage artistic exploration and experimentation, and to reward creativity and ingenuity.
Overview:
The 2011 Mystery Build contest had over $3,000 in prize money and the theme: "Interpret a Song". After the prizes were paid, the remaining profit was donated to Music Maker Relief Foundation.
In 2012 the prize money increased with more participation and we awarded $11,800 to contestants who could create a work of art around the theme: "What's Your Favorite Movie?" Kids ages 6-13 were able to participate in the fun too, in their own contest: "Invent an Animal" with $1,000 in prizes.
We are active in the arts community. We participate in arts festivals, donate to arts organizations and schools, sponsor events like MakerFaire, lecture at colleges, teach art techniques, host kids craft events, and host live games with cash prizes like our maze building challenge. We love to collaborate with artists on a variety of creative projects from visual arts to music, film, and television.
