Isobel Blank
Born in Tuscany (Italy). She melts her background studies and experiences in aesthetic philosophy, contemporary dance, theatre, photography, music, illustration, sculpture, and videoart to create her visual art concept. Her artworks were exhibited in many galleries and International Contemporary Art Fairs and Festivals in Italy and Europe (Munich, Innsbruck, Gent, Dublin, Marseille, Lyon, Sofia, St. Petersburg). She worked with musicians like Leo Abrahams, Les fragments de la nuit, Alessandra Celletti, Astrolabioanima, Giuseppe Righini. In 2009 she won the First Prize for Videoart Section in the International Contest ‘Romaeuropa Webfactory’ of Rome with the video Selfportrait. Her videoworks in the same year were screened at the 10th International Short Film Festival ‘Circuito Off‘ of Venice, at the meeting “Creative.Identity” of Turin and at the Polyforme Videoperformance Festival of Marseille. Finalist for videoart in “Celeste Prize 2009” of Milan. Screened at the 7th Edition of Les Inattendus 2010 - Festival du Cinéma (très) Independant - of Lyon and included in the SFC - Shoah Film Collection - Shoah worldwide videoart memorial collection of Cologne. Her works are in the Nomadic Video Library by "68 Septante asbl" of Bruxelles and in the Self-imaging Film Collection by Videochannel, Cologne. As videomaker she's actually part of the cross-media project "Danceme" of Milan (for Perypezie Urbane, EFA European Festival Association). Her works Limbo and Under a different light were respectively mentioned and selected by Celeste Prize 2010. She is in the art pubblication Young Blood 09 - Annual of the young talented italian creatives awarded in the world III Edition (Next Exit Edition, 2010, Rome) supported by the Italian Youth Minister. In 2010 she was selected for the art section as one of the 200 young talents under 35 from all the fields (science, research, sport, architecture etc.) for the TNT Festival of the young talents of Rome, launched by the Youth Ministry and the ANG, Youth National Agency.
