Biography
My research focuses on the analysis of an empathy between image and memory, based on emotional memory and retaining some sort of common thread with places. In my painting, the physical spaces visas are transformed into imaginative dimensions based on the very perception of what I heard. I work a lot in Greece, the country that for some time I have chosen as a place of my aesthetic. A place where I try to restore the poetry that outlines my research, this through a fundamental exercise, drawing. In fact, the recent works bear witness to the current study on the light, the spatial depth, imagining mental landscapes of places on the border with the territories of the spirit.
To date my research has developed mainly through the use of water-based paints, creating landscapes of Mediterranean atmosphere in which the color, the more diluted is given for glazes. In recent projects have explored the painting looking through a comparison of it with the space, giving rise to environmental projects and site-specific, such as the installation at the Museo di Palazzo Bianco in Genoa at Rolli days 2010, or the ' experience, always site-specific, made for the opening of the thirteenth week of Italian Culture and Language in Havana, Cuba, or the latest environmental project (2013) made for the Museum CAMeC, La Spezia.
Over the past two years I have also worked in theater and film, this helped me a lot because it helped me, both in painting and installation, to work on the "staging" is in 'installation on the canvas, sometimes even exploring the urban dimension in space and pouring the city's environmental ideas that I had first imagined and realized only in enclosed spaces. In this way, I expanded the scope of the installation of the city in particular with a performative works such as "Romeo and Juliet" (2012) in the spaces of the historic center of power, which saw a total involvement of people.
