Biography
Zoran Poposki (PhD, MFA) is a transdisciplinary artist, art educator, and researcher based in Hong Kong.
Poposki explores cultural translation, liminality, identity, and public space through printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, performance, video, and publishing.
His work has been shown in more than 70 exhibitions, screenings and festivals worldwide, including: Art Basel Hong Kong, 30th Biennial of Graphic Arts Ljubljana, SOHOinOttakring and Thyssen-Bornemisza 21 Art Contemporary Vienna, Museu da Vila Velha Portugal, The Danish National School of Performing Arts Copenhagen, National Museum of Montenegro, Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Center St. Petersburg in Russia, City Art Museum Ljubljana, ArtStays International Art Festival Slovenia, Museo de Arte de Ponce San Juan in Puerto Rico, National Gallery of Macedonia, Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje, University of Sharjah, etc. His public art projects have been presented on urban LED screens, video billboards, posters and billboards in NYC, Skopje, Dublin, Hong Kong, etc.
Artist residencies include: SVA School of Visual Arts (New York), Wooloo (Berlin), PNCA Pacific Northwest College of Art (Portland, OR), VSC Vermont Studio Center, etc.
Poposki is winner of the CEC Artslink Award (NYC) and the VSC Artist Grant.
