Biography

The body and the attributes to its shape, endowed with all the panorama of meanings which pass and have passed through it: the metaphor and symbols used as vehicle and conductor. If on one hand the body is the protagonist of these exchanges of sense, on the other hand new technologies wield an ever growing pressure on boundaries, edges and apexes of its customary shapes. All bodies are not only a part of one natural space, but additionally cultural and technological, which cannot be realistically thought of as separable. Hence, for Man and all living beings the body is a landscape, not a contaminated forest: a place of connections, connecting with something, someone and with its re-programming instruments, diverging from its meaning, stimulated to think again. Its skin a meeting place, its critical mass a vessel able to territorialise its presence and experience. Define its configuration, then confuse it between the organic and inorganic.
