Biography
Marisa Fogliarini, born in Sanremo, after earning a degree in painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milano,moves to Rome where she teachs Drawing and Art History in Higher Secondary Institutes.
She participates in numerous exhibitions of painting and, from 1971 to 1989,she realizes the scenic backdrops of the Puppet Theatre of the Fratelli Pasqualino.
In 1972 she exhibits at the gallery "Arte Corso Il Capitello" of Rome.
In 1976 she exhibits at the headquarters of the "Cooperativa spazio alternativo Maiakovskij" in Ostia-Lido, regarding the manifestation "Omaggio a Pasolini: la condizione umana - il potere – la donna”.
In 1979 she participates in the "Quadriennale de decors et d'architecture theatraux" of Prague, in 1980 in the exhibition "Aspetti della scenografia italiana oggi" to Kyoto.
In 1981 she exhibits paintings and linocuts in a one-man show at Casino of Sanremo and she participates in the exhibition "Aspetti della scenografia italiana oggi" in Tokyo and in the "Exhibition of Italian Design Stage" at the Art Centre of Hong Kong.
In 1985 she exhibits at the headquarters of the Cultural Circle of Deputies in Rome.
In 2001 she writes the Compendium of Art 1 (from the origins to the Middle Ages), published in 2002 by Newton & Compton publishers.
In 2006 she participates with fourteen scenic backdrops destined for the theater of the Puppet at the Show "Siamo tutti pupi" in Latina.
In 2012 she exhibits in Vallebona (IM) at the biennial "Vallebon'art" and in Arma di Taggia (IM) to the contemporary art exhibition "Artemare".
In 2013 she participates in the show "Site-specific" - Castle of the Lizard - Apricale (IM) and she exhibits in the exhibition "Regali frontiere" in Bordighera (IM).
In 2014 she exhibits in Vallebona (IM) at the biennial "Vallebon'art" and participates in the "Esposizione Triennale di Arti Visive a Roma".
In 2015 she holds an exhibition in the Gallery of Contemporary Art Studio C of Piacenza.
In 2016 she participates in the “XI Biennale Internazionale d’Arte” of Rome.
In 2016 she was part of the “XI Biennale internazionale d’Arte” of Rome, the exibition “Sulle tracce del reale” at the Monet gardens in Bordighera and the exibition “Artistes quand même” in the Oratorio S. Bartolomeo in Bordighera.
In 2017 she participated in the “Esposizione Triennale di Arti Visive a Roma” in the “Complesso Monumentale del Vittoriano – Ala Brasini” and in the “22° Concorso d’Arte Contemporanea SaturARTE 2017” in Genova.
She also took part in the exibition “segni, tracce, percorsi” in the Oratorio S. Bartolomeo in Bordighera. She exhibited four paintings at the “Imago” international art exhibition at the Angelica Library in Rome.
In 2018 she took part in the exibition “Il privilegio di invecchiare” at the Don Orione in Sanremo, in the exhibition “Vernice fresca” at the headquarters of the “Accademia Riviera dei Fiori G. Balbo” and at the exhibition “Aspettando Agorà” in Bordighera.
She is among the artists selected for the "8° Biennale internazionale d’arte a Montecarlo - 2018".
She also holds an exhibition in the Galleria d’arte Malinpensa by La telaccia” in Turin.
She now lives and works in Rome and in San Remo.
