Biography
Born in 1978, Francesca Cervasi has grown in Aprilia, a town placed in the Agropontino, in the south of region Lazio.
She has studied social sciences at Roma 3 University, graduating in education sciences. After that she worked for several years in social structures and for 7 years into the" centro di salute mentale of Roma x municipio". Her training, her job and her journeys in Asia, Africa and America have influenced her glance.
After a self-taught training she decides to improve herself at "Roma school of photography", attending with success the 3-year post-graduate course. In her works she loves using the large analog format, the Polaroid and the ancient printing technics (cyanotype, salted paper, van Dyke).
She is associated member of the Royal Photographic Society of London.
Her works "Acque Morte and Niente Movimenti Bruschi" have been chosen from the lectors Pierre Bessard, Michele Cera, Michael Botman, Fabio Severo for the final jury of the Si Fest 2013 edition.
She has exposed the opera Kintsugi at the Sifest Off 2014.
She now works with photographic study Fotoessenza.
