Biography
My experience between photography and video has always related to the proximity between picture and frame.
I am interested in the instant in its uniqueness, in which bodies emerge and affect each other. A unique moment when the magic of a human being, in its corporeality and emotions, may be found or expanded on within the story, finding a repetition in the video, which becomes a game of reflection, to understand the challenge posed by the performance. I favor themes that reflect a flow of empathy. When I take a photo, there comes a time when photography demands to be transformed to become an image in motion, even if not a completed story. The diary form and self-portraits have always fascinated me and they are always my starting point, be they notes, a storyboard or something I write.
My work stems from personal experience, which I try to translate into a fiction where there is that something that inevitably eludes me, as if it is not yet born, from the reality in which we move, guided by the places assigned to us by life. It is likely that my eyes have a feminine implication, although I do not have preferred subjects, men or women. At the moment, I am captivated by the childish play of life asserting itself and by the demanding preservation of the diminished life of the elderly.
