Biography
He was born in Abano Terme (Italy) on July 7, 1972, and lives and works at Montegrotto Terme (Italy). Since he was a child, he had a passion for drawing. He attended the school for commercial artists, where he developed also a strong passion for the photography and cinema.
In his early youth he attended several courses of oil painting and the “Scuola libera del nudo” (Free school of nude) at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Aca- demy of Fine Arts) of Venice (Italy), where he lear- ned the art of engraving, and in particular that of etching, that lead him to the selections of the “Premio Nazionale di Calcografia” (National Award of Chalcogra- phy).
In 1994 he subscribed to the AGAE - “Associazione Giovani Artisti Euganei” (Association of Young Euganean Artists). He was the president of this association for about two years and took part in several of its expositions for the next three years.
In the subsequent years he kept on with photography and painting, then he attended a course of wood-carving of Sil- vano Soppelsa in the years 2001 and 2002. In the summer of 2002 he took part in carrying out a wooden crib together with Silvano Soppelsa and three more students at the same course.
From 2003 he participates the meetings of “Ipotesi Cine- ma” (Cinema Hypothesis, a school of cinema founded by the director Ermanno Olmi) and contributed with a short video to the joint work “AUTORITRATTO ITALIA- NO O SOLE MIO” (Italian self-portrait O sole mio) proposed to the “61a Mostra Internaziona- le d’Arte Cinematografica” (61st International Exhibition of Screen Art) of Venice (Italy).
He attended several exhibitions and competitions for short films and video art, earning a great deal of interest. From 2004 he is part of the group “Spalancare la prigione” (To fling open the jail, inspired to the celebrated expression of Van Gogh) and of the “Associazione Tauriliarte” (Tauriliarte Association), with whom he collaborated for the organi- zation of a successful exhibition on art-inspired cinema (CINEMARTE).
He never stopped his passion for the photography and re- cently he developed a personal technique of computer-aided photographic processing which yields to very striking pic- torial images.
He had a very varied artistic route and defines himself as an experimenter. He likes experiencing new techniques and expressive styles. His goal is the creation of instinctive and immediate all-round art.
