Biography
Weaving a constant dialogue between sound and image, Viola Conti explores the complex urban fabric of her country, San Marino, recording the presence of innumerable industrial buildings that stand empty and abandoned and defining herself like a "tourist of post industrial landscapes". The artist describes the environment that surrounds her through absences and subtractions, giving a personal, poetic slant to the act of documentation.
