The “Ombra” works symbolize the most anguishing inmost part of ourselves.
They represent our fears, our anxieties, our remorse and our regrets.
The monsters dwelling and tossing inside us are framed in a non-definite dimension, in suspense between painting and sculpture, on the bounds of three-dimensionality.
Frozen in their evolution, half-way through two worlds, the “Ombra” artworks take effective form just enough to be recognised, to be exorcised.
Amorphous dummies, with big blue eyes,
watching a world that won’t be their own.
