Biography
Christina Gednalske is an American artist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, living and working in Florence, Italy. Her work uses video, performance, photography, and writing to approach memory, cultural and ancestral origins, location and space, and corporeal limits. Through a continuous reevaluation and reconstruction of identity, her research aims to determine a position within individual and cultural parameters, reflecting on the duality and connection of experiencing two cultures simultaneously. She has shown in the United States, Italy, England, and South Korea, and is a graduate of the MFA in Studio Arts program at Studio Arts College International Florence (SACI).
