Biography

When I started working with textile I was looking for a new expressive medium where it was strongly present the side of the craft made by hand and at the same time create a graphic impact and feel that it was contemporary.
In 1995 I graduated from the “Academy of Costume and Fashion” in Rome and started my artistic career as a jewelry designer.
In 1996 I attended a Master Course of ”Artistic treatment of metals” in Pesaro at “Centro TAM” directed by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro.
In the same year I started to collaborate with some gold companies in Arezzo as a jewelry designer.
In 2000 I moved to Ibiza where inspired by the creative environment of the island, I investigated a new artistic development through the use of unconventional materials as fabric and color.
In 2004 I produced my own collection of handbags and T-shirts with subjects taken from my paintings and I began to sell in different "hippies” markets that we are on the island.
In 2012 I participated at a workshop “Make your marks” taught by American artist Dorothy Caldwell in Switzerland.
I work mainly with fabric applied on cotton or linen material, with embroidery, hand stitching and sewing machine; sometimes I dye my own fabrics or paints details with acrylic.
I am currently participating in several individual and collective exhibitions in Ibiza and France.
