Biography
The 'automatic writing' or in Joke's (Belgian) case 'automatic drawing', brings weird, organic and playful doodles. She searches for the subconscious by 'quickdrawing', giving room to her imagination. Some of her work has been selected for FORTIS YATA 12-13 and StimulansKortrijk 2014. "Even if I try to draw something different, it always comes out this way." A new surreal world arises full of imaginary creatures. Joke is a member of Krakk, an art collective from West-vlaanderen.
