Biography
For Corinne Zanette a body which is imprisoned within a non-modifiable and non-communicating space is a denied organism which can’t live and breath because being in contact with the environment is vital to it. The difficult relationship between what’s inside the organism and the outside is expressed through cuts, signs, words and communication. Language has indeed been human’s first technology. Establishing relationships becomes the only free and creative way. Unexplored mental spaces, such as the boundary between the canvas and the spectator, are invented. Topics such as the relationship between the internal and external world, between individuals and society and the surrounding environment become the starting point of many investigations.
