Biography
My work is the result of the evolution of a haiku Poem into an image. It is the artistic pursuit of an equal balance between words, space, matter, and colors.
In the paintings there is a continuous quest for the horizon, the apparent line that separates natural elements that are juxtaposed: sky, water and earth from which light and consequently life, originates.
My works are the final result of the philosophical influences originated from my past involvement with raku ceramic and the wisdom of kintsugi. I continuously strive to enhance both the harmony and the beauty of simplicity, breaking and re-creating the space, because life is integrity and separation at the same time. It is the constant and eternal decomposition that I enhance by using the color blue, the symbol of balance.
I use poetry to define the idea, the numerical sequence of Fibonacci, to build the space, the ceramic mixture on paper, linen and thermal fabric in order to obtain the mixture and the pure or diluted ink for the color and the light.
