Born in Brussels in 1988, lives and works in Brussels (Belgium)
At first animated(stimulated) by its cinemaddiction, Antone Israel becomes integrated at the age of 17 into the collective « films with Scores «, col- lective within all the personal works using all shorts of scales and filming exclusively in super 8.
he will realize several short films and a medium-length film, and will oc- cupy the function of projectionist during the representations, a blend between happening and cinema.
Abandoning bit by bit a pure film practice for a plastic practice, Antone Israel reinstates conceptual problems , narrative and formal born and codified by the cinema within sculptural devices.
After a passage in the Royal Academy of the Fine art of Brussels, some exhibitions, a curator’s post in ASBL project (ion) Room, and many different and varied works, he dedicates itself now exclusively in his approach of plastics technician investigating by means of the installation, of the video, of the film, the writing, the abstract corollaries of the image in movement and his various perceptive constructions / deconstructions
