Biography
Self-taught artist Mauricio Paz Viola was born in Carmelo, Uruguay in 1985. Dabbling in art since 7, he has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 14, in Consulate of Argentina (Colonia, Uruguay), in Museo Rómulo Raggio (Buenos Aires), and in various parts of Chile. His works are featured in art magazines such as Arte Anual Latino Americano and Sachet Mixte Arte (France) and auctioned in places like Miami, US. Paz Viola evolved through realism, surrealism, and expressionism before creating “Ergon-realism”, captivating and enthralling the public with his dynamic narrative of colours, shapes, light and shadows that reflect and re-create an inner landscape.
