Biography
Coluzzi Francis was born in Colleferro (Rm) in 1972 and is resident in Segni (Rm), it is graduate of the Art Institute of Anagni in 1991, sect. Art metal-Goldsmith; has subsequently Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone in 1995 in the course of Decoration. He currently works as a teacher of art and image in middle school. He looks out into the art scene by participating in various exhibitions mainly in regional; his research in the field of painting begins in the 90s, inspired by abstract art and the informal art. In this period he executed several paintings on canvas or jute canvas preferring the technique of oil painting and experimenting with materials especially in relation to their material qualities. In his works prevail vivid and striking color effects; effects characterized by an original aesthetic taste, animated by a constant search for a harmonious balance between the elements of visual language. The color becomes the protagonist of the space. The forms are structured through the overlaps of materials or the contrasts between empty spaces and spaces filled, the images, often evocative, refer to the unconscious meanings and subjective. Over the years' 2000, he is more akin to a figurative painting with surreal fairy-tale settings, the color still the protagonist fuses with the fantastic landscapes, chiaroscuro effects and prevalence of vibrant warm colors make the composition. The work becomes the interpreter of a space in which the viewer feels stimulated not only by the visual sensations even those tactile.
