Biography
I had art as subject for four years at school. I also had another four years of art experience at Potchefstroom University. Mostly I trained myself. I started painting full time in 2011. I was raised on a farm in a small town called Smithfield in South Africa. Growing up I learnt how to appreciate the tranquility and peaceful surroundings mother nature has to offer in this beautiful region of our country. Life is simple and uncomplicated when you are surrounded by nature, and this is where I draw my inspiration from.
In all my art there are imprinted fragments of my childhood spent there, and translating that into my art reminds me of all the things that are dearest to me and enriches my life today.
