Biography
Alessio Guano is an Italian visual artist who lives in La Spezia. He creates a new interpretation of collage which consist of rescuing old advertising materials, newspapers, images of filmography, and photographs and make new powerful images using materials such as pieces of paper, cotton surfaces, enamel colours and creating colorful overlays. Starting from the collage technique and decollage he creates new interpretations, abstract and figurative subjects all blend into a unique work. The play of colors and subjects makes his work appealing to a variety of people. Although collage is not an innovative idea in the world of contemporary art, the magic of Alessio’s works lies in its colors and composition, achieving the aesthetic appeal that hypnotizes us.
