Biography

Sara Zamperlin was born in Legnago, a small city in the province of Verona with an important historical relevance capable of giving characteristic shape to those willing to live it to the fullest.
The artist began her training at the Castelmassa Institute of Applied Arts (l’Istituto d’Arte Applicata di Castelmassa) and followed with courses in antique dealing and restoration in which she received qualification as an expert in the conservation, preservation and restoration of classic works of art (Tecnico della Conservazione, Manutenzione e Restauro Beni Artistici).
During these critical years of development she began her unique search for a way to bring the arts of painting and restoration together. Experimenting with ever new materials, the artist found herself drawn to the subtle concepts of materialism in painting which influenced much of her work in this early period.
Later, a growing love of the visual arts found Sara drawn to the traditional approaches of photography. Material, painting techniques and photographic concepts came together to give birth to a new form of communication; a new style of painting. This represents a defining period for the artist when her works began to masterfully transmit the most deeply concealed emotions.
For more than ten years she has operated her artistic laboratory “Arte & Arte”, collaborating with well known architecture studios and art galleries, both public and private.
