Biography
Alice Kohler was born on May 16, 1960 , in the city of Blumenau , Santa Catarina . At two years her family moved to Rio de Janeiro , where she still lives . She graduated in Physical Education from UFRJ and specialized in Management of Olympic Sport Organization , Imternacional Olympic Committee ( IOC ) . Devotes most of her time as a volunteer in the Middle Xingu Indian Villages , promoting sports and fighting alcoholism and drugs . These trips , records the people, their way of life and the nature of the region . The affinity with nature and the daily life of indigenous give inspiration to Alice as a photographer , one of her passions since 1977 , when an exchange student in the United States .
Her keen eye and demanding capture what our eyes can not see and the frenzy of their lenses record the beauty and essence of people do not know.
Alice is a mix of photographer and wanderer who spends a good part of her life experiencing and learning in four continents and in the most diverse in culture and habits , opening a chapter of course the part to Brazil , her homeland .
