Landscapes of gardens, coasts and islands are painted outdoors directly on the spot in oil on canvas or in watercolors. The annually visited islands are the British Shetland Islands and the Danish island Aeroe. There frequently changing light and weather conditions are exciting challenges for me.
In the studio bird and beach studies are painted according to own photos and observations.
Findings at the shore, items of daily life made of glass, wood, pottery or metal, newly shaped by the sea, objects of flotsam are made. Paintings in combination with these materials are created as well. Abstract paintings originate from emotional and imaginative spaces and landscapes.
